Cynthia, Dan, Joe, Mike and Sarah take a camping vacation on a desert island in the Bahamas--""roughing it"" with a gourmet cook and deluxe gear. But the real focus is on experiencing nature by sailing, snorkeling and lounging on the beach. Even Cynthia, who is skeptical about the lack of facilities and is afraid of water, is won over by the beauty of the islands.
